Congressional Committees 

• Standing committees- Senate has 16 and the house has 22. 
• Subcommittees - Broke down in to more specific committees. 
• Select committees - Deals with issues that the standing committees do not take on. 
• Joint committees - Joint committees are two houses that works together to solve a problem.
• Conference committees- Work out things so that they can make bills.
